2/27/1954: Born on this day, Neal Schon, guitarist from Journey who was also a member of Santana and Bad English. Schon has said he was asked by Eric Clapton to join Derek and the Dominos, but he joined Santana instead, and performed on the album Santana III. Schon moved on in 1973 to form Journey, a group he has continued to lead to the present day.
