PARODY SONG: Murph’s So Good (7/24/25)
Apologies to John Mellencamp…here’s our new tune for Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy
WEEKDAYS 10am-3pm
I’ve never had a REAL job. I went from college right into a three-year pro soccer career as a goalkeeper for the Buffalo Stallions and the Rochester Flash (I’m lower left in this pic), then I fell into radio by mistake. That was in the mid-80s. I became a Classic Rock morning host and I’ve been at it ever since.
And I actually HAVE had other jobs – valet car parking attendant, waterproofing the foundations of homes, and writer of trivia that appeared on Dixie bathroom cups! So, I am the king of useless information.
I majored in English and Procrastination at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. The first song I played as a DJ on the campus radio station (WESU) was “Can’t You See” by the Marshall Tucker Band. My college thesis was a written history of the college’s football program, which included New England Patriots’ coach Bill Belichick, Class of ’75.
The Milwaukee Brewers “mb” logo has long been my favorite, so I’ve been a fan of the team since they relocated from Seattle after the ’69 season. And former Bucks’ guard Sidney Moncrief is one of my all-time favorite athletes.
My favorite actors are Kevin Kline and Kristen Wiig. My least favorite is Bronson Pinchot (ask me sometime about that interview). And I can’t get along without my Waze, Shazam and Words with Friends apps.
