3. In honor of Veterans Day, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is offering 10 days of free admission to veterans and the military, along with their guests. This complimentary admission is available on Thursday, November 9 – and Sunday, November 19. Since 1971, Schlitz Audubon has been a home for environmental education and outdoor discovery. While exploring their six miles of trails you will walk by prairies, ponds, forests, ravines, and Lake Michigan shoreline. Their trails encompass a growing number of wheelchair-accessible paths and boardwalks, inviting everyone to explore nature regardless of age or ability.
