40th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, JR. Birthday Celebration

40^th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, JR. Birthday Celebration on Monday, January 15 at Marcus Performing Arts Center.

The Marcus Performing Arts Center in Milwaukee has celebrated Dr. King’s Birthday annually since 1984. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration is a FREE event and programming highlights the youth in our community who every year interpret Dr. King’s words through student contests. This year’s theme is “What Affects One…Affects All”. This quote was taken from a letter written by Dr. King while incarcerated in Birmingham. Winners will be showcased at a free celebration event held in the Marcus Performing Arts Center.
