Graceland tour goes digital

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Elvis Presley probably never dreamed of people walking through his house with handheld computers.

Visitors on the Graceland tour now are given iPads for an interactive multimedia experience. Guests will see content based on their location in the house that allows them to see rarely seen video and photos.

Another version is made specifically for kids. Visitors can even email their favorite images.

Would iPads have freaked out Presley? Probably not. Joel Weinshanker of Graceland says Elvis loved new technology and was among the first to have a home VCR, a big screen TV and a briefcase phone. He says Presley had the first microwave oven sold in Memphis.
